2024 Artist-In-Residence

Lu Ray Waldemer

Lu Ray invigorates both public and private spaces with their captivating multimedia mosaic and ceramic creations. Their art serves as a conduit between the public and their surroundings, drawing inspiration from the complexities of identity, human-made environments, and the beauty of nature. Transforming the seemingly destructive act of smashing into a delicate dance of reconstruction, they skillfully piece together broken fragments to craft intricate forms. Through their masterful use of texture, surfaces come alive, inviting viewers to engage with their work through observation, tactile exploration, and immersive experiences, offering moments of respite for the mind.
